Health-data consent statement — United Kingdom

Version 1.0 Document owner: Emma Dyson Issue date: 29 July 2026

This is the exact statement shown on the Mana app’s health-data consent screen for users in the UK, before any health information is collected. It is versioned here because the app records which version of it each user accepted. The app renders this content; if the wording changes here, the version must change, and users on the old version are asked to accept the new one.

Heading

Your health data, your say

Introduction

Before we collect anything, we need your explicit consent to work with the health data listed below.

What we would collect

Purpose

We use this data to show you your trends and to generate summaries you choose to share.

Health data is special-category data under UK GDPR, so we only process it with your explicit consent. It is stored in the UK and never sold.

I give my explicit consent to Mana processing the health data listed above

This control is never pre-ticked, and its only function is this consent — it is not bundled with accepting the Terms of Use or Privacy Notice, which are accepted separately at sign-up.

If you decline

That’s completely fine. Without this consent Mana can’t collect or process any health data, so we can’t finish setting up — nothing has been collected or stored. You can come back and agree whenever you’re ready.

Withdrawing

You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your account, which deletes your health data. See the Privacy Notice for what that covers.
